What is a Career Portfolio?

A career portfolio is a collection of information each person designs and creates to present the best of themselves to other people. In a hard copy binder or ePortfolio, a career portfolio helps individuals organize skills and abilities to market themselves for internships, scholarships, jobs, promotion and advancement.

You Can’t Separate Job Readiness from Life Skills.

Use our targeted  pamphlet series, career portfolio books and workbooks, and Career GAP software to help people:

  • Identify key life and job skills where they are weak or failing

  • Determine strategies to help improve their skills

We bring a Learning mindset to everything we do as we help people identify who they are and what they have to offer. It’s about staying curious and seeing how we are always building skills – outside of class or work.

We bring Innovation to learning, looking at the latest research in brain science and learning as we create materials to engage and enhance personal career development

We bring Motivation to the forefront by putting the individual in charge of his or her own career. We help people discover the answers to the questions:  “What’s in it for me?” and “What can I do with this?” and puts personal and professional well-being into the formula for success.

… And combines it with Measurement and Outcomes Assessment.

We understand that programs live and die by by their ability to prove they are making a difference. Everything we create contains assessments and measurements to help you track your success.

Testimonials

“I just needed someone to talk to about my career.  You listened to me. I didn’t know where to start.  I have been looking for a job—nothing seems to be around like the position I left.  You looked at me as a person, not a piece of paper—Thank you for the honest feedback.  I hated getting off the phone with you—but I know to go after what I want not what I can get.  It took a world of burden off me.  I had never considered doing a community service project to document my growing skills.

Anna – You are always right where I need you to be!  I so appreciate you.  When discussing the reentry grant and need for curriculum, I couldn’t think anyone else’s product line to surpass yours. I spend a good deal of time reviewing materials for possible curriculum purchases.  So far, I have found none that equal Learnovation. Thank you to you and your staff for the commitment to continue to develop and produce quality training materials.
