PARENTING SERIES: P7 – KIDS AND DIVORCE

               The Big Picture
This pamphlet focuses on the impact of divorce on children. We’ll take a look at how divorce
can impact kids at specific ages, and what all children would like to see from their divorced
parents. We’ll help parents learn how to get along with their ex, successfully co-parent, and deal
with the anger they feel at their spouse. We’ll help parents to take responsibility for how they feel
and act so they can help their kids to stay as kids.

The pamphlet reviews what kids of all ages are looking for from both parents, and how parents
can support their children by working with their ex and setting clear expectations. We’ll look at

successful ways to co-parent and ways to help your kids stay kids.

The IM helps parents identify their current feelings in their divorce and how that is impacting
their choices. We look at how kids often react to divorce at different ages, and parents will look
at how their child is currently coping with the situation. We’ll focus on ways to successfully co-
parent, and deal with the anger they may feel at their ex.
