               Overview/Goals:

               The goal of this exercise is to look at your own interests and abilities and then take a look at careers
               and jobs that might be a good fit for you. In this exercise you will be narrowing down your interests

               to three jobs, and then looking at the things you would be doing at work and the requirements and
               training needed to get the job.

               At this point, don’t limit yourself to only jobs you can do now, - You’re dreaming now. If work was
               fun and meaningful to you, what would you do? If you dream of being a medical doctor, but really
               know you don’t want to spend years in medical school, there are still many related careers that
               could be just the right thing for you. At this point you’re exploring careers.

               Instructions:


                   1.  Using Exercise 1, choose three jobs you would like to have and do some research on each
                       job. There are several good places on the Internet to find information on different jobs:
                              O-Net Online – http://online.onetcenter.org
                              America’s  Job Exchange – www.americasjobexchange.com
                              Career One Stop – www.careeronestop.org

                       Enter a job title or keyword related to a job and you will find career information, including
                       job responsibilities, education and training needed, skills required, locations, salaries, and
                       related jobs. You can use an actual job listing or a site with general career information.

                   2.  Complete a form for each job, focusing on the duties, skills, requirements, and career paths
                       for each job.
