4-C: My Transferable Skills
Instructions:
Look at the job application you filled out in Exercise 3 and think about other things you do that
show you have marketable skills. Think about the type of activities you’ve done and in what type of
job you might use that skill. If you’ve watched younger siblings, you’ve been a childcare provider.
Your leadership on the volleyball team might use be used by an athletic trainer or a manager. Think
about the amount of time you spend in your activities. Three months of experience equals 480
hours of participation. You may have done more than you think!
