In this exercise you are going to find three jobs ads related to your career field and list all the
details about the job, especially the skills and requirements you need.

1. Fill out your career ladder chart with these three jobs in your career field:

• Job I Want – You’re probably not ready for this job yet, but this is the job you really
want to do.
• Not Quite the Job I Want, but…– a job that will help you build the skills you need for the
job you want. You may not be ready for this job yet, but it’s a step.

• Job I Can Do Now – a job you are qualified for right now that will help you get to the job
you want.
