Teaching Tips

 Use the exercises in the pamphlet for a group discussion and
review of the key concepts.
 Encourage parents to share their good and bad stories about
their kids during group discussions. Parents can learn from each

other, and even knowing that someone else has gone through
the same thing they are going through now can be a huge help.

 Try This At Home – Parents are to create a growth chart for each
child. If the children are older teens, suggest the parents take
time to tell their child a story about when they were born or
little, something the child may not remember. Kids, no matter

the age, like hear stories about themselves. Take some time
during the next meeting to overview how the activity went and
what they learned.
