Slide 13 – Personal Parenting Rule / Action to Take

For Evaluation Only

You’re going to be creating your own set of parenting rules to live by. By the
end of the training you’ll have 12 personal rules to remind you of what’s
important as a parent.
(If you watch the TV show NCIS, you know that Agent Gibbs, the team
leader, has a list of personal rules he lives by. Periodically he references a
rule in a show. His job is to teach his team his rules – we as fans work to
know the rules too.)

Examples of Gibbs’ rules:

#2: Always wear gloves at a crime scene.
#3: Don’t believe what you’re told. Double check.

#12: Never date a co-worker.

#13: Never, ever involve lawyers.
#15: Always work as a team.

#44: First things first, hide the women and children.

#45: Clean up the mess you make.
