The Program Components

The Parenting Pamphlet training series consists of the following materials for each
pamphlet topic:

 Parenting pamphlet – key content and exercises on the topic

 Instructor’s Manual with supplemental content / PowerPoint slides
o PowerPoint slides – the CD included at the back of the IM contains PowerPoint
slides for each pamphlet training, and are used to deliver material from the
pamphlet, plus additional content and activities on the topic.

o Instructor’s Manual content – Contains detailed teaching tips for each slide,
additional content, and activities.

o Parenting Worksheet – a two-page worksheet for each pamphlet is included in

the IM and on the accompanying CD – Parents use this to take notes while
reading the pamphlet, participating in the training, and to complete any
additional activities included in the IM.
 Assessment document – after completing the pamphlet, you can identify what the
parent has learned on each topic – check off knowledge and skills the parents have
gained and their level of proficiency.

Parenting Pamphlets

Each of the 12 pamphlet is the Parenting Pamphlet Series contains content and 1-2
exercises on a particular parenting topic. Each pamphlet has the following feature sections:

Reality Check – key concepts from the pamphlet
Time Out! – Taking time for yourself as a parent.
Try This at Home – A simple activity to do with your kid(s) at home
