#3 – BEING A GOOD PARENT

o Use a journal and/or art to express your feelings.
o Forgive someone. Let go of the need to be right and forgive.

                   3. Control Your Anger When You Experience It
                       • Change Your Environment

o Take a break and physically get away from the conflict. Go to
another room, go for a walk, or count to 10. This may give you
time to gain perspective and simply calm down.

o Learn to avoid situations that you know will cause you anger.
                       • Use Humor

o Think of something funny to say (but don't be rude or sarcastic).

o Try to see the funny side of the situation and learn to laugh at
                              yourself.

                          o Smile.

                       • Calm Yourself Physically
o Use physical relaxation techniques. Take slow, deep breaths and
                              concentrate on your breathing.

o Repeat a word or phrase to remind you to stay in control and
                              calm.
