• Write the plan – it usually includes:
• Strengths

• Student background
• Previous behavior interventions

• The problem behaviors

• Strategies to help the student change their behaviors
• Plan to keep the family updated

• Plan for what happens when the student doesn’t follow through
• Plan to check in on progress periodically.

• Review and update as needed.

Activity:

Use the Parenting Worksheet to list current issues your child has with school.
Identify what you think the problem is, what you think should be done, and
who you need to talk with to address the problem.
