                 Review the slide for ways to help kids who are aggressive change their
                   behavior.

                 The right side of the slide gives suggestions for helping kids deal with or
                   avoid bullying situations.


               There are two types of aggressive kids - proactive and reactive.

               Proactive – child starts something in order to obtain a specific outcome
                 Planned, unemotional, focused on a goal (such as peer approval, the
                   victim submitting, status in a gang, some type of control)

               Reactive – child responds with aggression to perceived threats
                 Emotional, often based on perceived threats (a bump, a look from another
                   student, taunts) – often from kids who are struggling emotionally or
                   mentally
