#11 – WHEN YOUR KIDS ARE IN TROUBLE


               Physical aggression – Boys are more likely to act out physically with hitting,
               fighting, and punching. Girls who’ve been physically or sexually abused are

               more likely to resort to this.
               Relational aggression – social exclusion, gossip, peer rejection – Girls often
               use this technique – the earlier they start, the more physically aggressive they
               can get.




               Kids who have issues with aggressive behavior need to learn the skills to
               control their actions. You can’t assume that just threatening them with severe
               punishments will cause them to change. Fights often happen because the kid
               doesn’t have the skills to prevent it.
