Measuring Success

           Why Measurable Learning Objectives?

Measurable learning objectives clarify the expectation for both the instructor and student.
All activities, discussions and exercises should be able to be mapped back to a learning
objective and supported by the materials. When an instructor is determining whether an
activity is an appropriate supplement to this training, the acid test is to map it back to the
           measurable learning objectives.
O*NET Mapping of Pamphlet and IM Content

The College Boot Camp recognizes the importance of identifying and tracking the
knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) of each individual. It is the student’s own knowledge
of their KSAs that helps them make good career decisions. Every occupation requires a
different mix of knowledge, skills, and abilities, and is performed using a variety of
activities and tasks. The US Department of Labor has identified the KSAs utilized in over
                                           For Evaluation Only
974 different occupations, presented in their O*NET database.
The KSAs of each activity, pamphlet exercise, and workbook assignment, has been
mapped to the O*NET KSA definitions, and appear in the introduction of each IM
           session. ©2018 Learnovation®, LLC

Completing the College Boot Camp helps individuals build transferrable skills that will
crosswalk into existing workplace demands. Participants will be learning the specific
knowledge, skills, and abilities listed as they engage in the learning process through active
discussion, and completion of pamphlet, workbook and instructional manual activities.

The O*NET database includes information on skills, abilities, knowledges, work activities,
and interests associated with occupations, and is available online at http://onetonline.com.
